Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.

Remember those commercials about giving a day of service and then getting a free day at Disneyland? Well, we signed up to help a local organization, and we now have our vouchers to be turned into the Disneyland ticket office!


What did we do you might ask?

First, we bought 21+ yards of fleece fabric. Each person who worked on this project needed to provide three children's sized fleece blankets.

Second, we did LOTS of cutting of the fleece fabric.


Third, we did LOTS of knot tying. We had lots of helpers that day so it went fairly fast. I love how the "guys" got into the action and helped. The little kids especially loved tying the knots.


Fourth, we stacked the blankets and got them ready for delivery.


Twenty-One fleece blankets that will be delivered to the Indian Reservation this winter. It feels good to know that twenty-one little Indian children will be a little bit warmer this winter because of our simple efforts.

We have until December 15th to use our tickets. I hope we can get to Disneyland sometime before then! Even if we don't, it still felt really good to be a part of this project.
