If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.

You know how that book goes? If you give a mouse a cookie then he will . . .

And then a huge chain reaction starts that isn't always the best scenario?



Well, that's what happened to us the other night.

You see, the door knob out to the garage completely broke. No getting in and out of the house that way.


 

I was secretly happy because, well, the cheap gold knobs have never been my favorite.


So we went to Lowe's and bought new door knobs for ALL the outside doors. They all are on their last leg so we just went for it.


 

The new ones are incredibly sturdy and nice looking. We only have one set installed so far.

After two and a half hours of putting on one door knob - we are very DIY challenged around here - it was VERY apparent the new door knob made the doors look even more terrible than they already look.


So. . . that's where the mouse story comes in.


Because of the new doorknobs we now have to:


Change the hinges to match the door knobs.

Paint the door.

Paint the trim.

Paint the walls.
