It's One Of Those Days.

A stay in your footie pajamas, snuggle on the floor with your new Easter Lambs, and watch a movie or two kind of day.
 


It's that kind of day because. . .

we had to be here at 6:30 a.m. this morning.
 

Marg has had stomach pain/bowel issues for months now. Today her doctor did an EGD scope to take a look into her stomach.

Her hospital gown was a little big. :)
 

Here she is right after the procedure.
 

A little sleepy but happy it was over and enjoying her new pillowcase the hospital volunteers provide for the pediatric patients. Especially sweet pediatric patients who have silent tears roll down their cheeks when they are told Mom and Dad can't go back with them to the operating room.


The worst part was the IV.
 

But, getting to choose three furry animals from the hospital box to cuddle you while you are in surgery was a definite plus.
 


The doctor found some "erosion" in her stomach and small patches of dried blood. Maybe just an ulcer? He's not sure yet. He did a biopsy and we will find out sometime next week what the results show.


Coming home from the hospital is always the best. Especially when you find a sweet note from your big sister on the refrigerator dry erase board that says this. . .
 

All in all it was a good morning. Marg did just fine with the anesthesia and she is happy.

A small miracle considering that just the thoughts of this procedure in the doctors office two weeks ago sent her into a tail spin and she completely broke out in hives.

No hives today.


Good job, Marg, for keeping it all under control. Mama and Daddy are very proud of you.
