This year for some reason she was having a particularly difficult time trying to decided what she wanted to do. Swimming? Bowling? Movie Night? Oh, the decisions. :)
Then during the middle of the Olympics I had a pretty good idea. Why not have an Olympic Theme party? Then Lauren chimed in. . . Why not have a DECATHLON party? You know, ten events? Margaret is turning 10?
Yeah, it was perfect.
So I made the cake and Caroline decorated it. Marg wanted it in the shape of a cupcake.
With the decorations all set and the friends all ready to go, it was off to the back yard for the events.
We had a torch lighting ceremony.
Lauren made cute signs for each event.
Wheelbarrow races, long jumps into the sandbox, and basket ball free throws were some of the fun.
It was a really hot day, so it was great that the last event was swimming at the outdoor pool!
It was lots of fun and everyone got a gold medal.
It was pretty simple and basic, and there is no way we could have pulled it off without Caroline and Lauren's help. Thanks girls!

Edee, thanks for posting these pictures. It was such a fun party with no pressure on winning. The girls had a blast!
