Scenes From A "Totes Cray Cray" Christmas.

It's been a different Christmas, that's for sure. But with lots of family, we have managed to laugh amid the tears.

Laura Lee is doing better and getting the help she needs and for that we are truly thankful.

Here is a recap of some of this years festivities.

Lauren and Jake offered to buy the tree this year and it was a blessing to all of us. However, even our Christmas tree(s) felt the stress.

Tree #1:

Beautiful tree from Costco.

Completely DEAD after one week. The pregnant woman (not me!) in the house said it smelled terrible.

Took off all the decorations and lights and returned it.

Tree #2:

Beautiful tree from Lowes.

Redecorated and ready to go.

Completely DEAD and about to fall over after about 10 days.

Have you ever seen such a sad looking tree? It looked worse in person. We took it down first thing in the morning on the 26th.

The Cox boys have been visiting and have had to make due with whatever snow gear we could find around here. Ben looks quite nice in his little pink hat.

They have had fun playing in the snow. They don't get to see much snow in St. George!

They even got to see what it's REALLY like to live here - lots of snow shoveling!

When I woke up this morning, this is what I found.

Those are live, human bodies sleeping somewhere under all that mess.

This kid slept like this all night, and surprisingly he seems to be quite normal with no long term lasting ill effects today. :)

I noticed someone had piled all the Legos here.

The entrance out the front door was piled high with snow clothes and toys.

Yes, it's been a little cray cray (crazy for those of you who don't speak the teenage language)

Lillie seems happy to be home with her Aunties and cousins. She is also pretty happy anytime she can get her hands on a clean piece of dental floss. She likes to lick the minty flavor.

Plus, this guy kept it all together so the rest of us could survive.

But through it all, there were little reminders of peace. . .

like this ceramic Christmas tree of Grandma Bigs that now brings joy to Marg's room reminding us that even in this dark and dreary world, there is light. And because of that Light and through the Light of Christ all will be well.

How truly thankful we are for this Christmas season and for the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Yes, because of Him. . .

All is Well. All is Well.
