We've Had a Houseful.

Jeff and Brett have stayed with us this week. Ben, their brother, had to have heart surgery this week up at Primary Children's Hospital, but he is now doing very well and they are all on their way home.

I can't remember the name of the problem (Wolf, Parkinson, something something). In the last month we have had two nephews who were diagnosed with it. One on my side of the family and one on Kenneth's side of the family. Weird, huh? They have both had the surgery to correct the problem and they are both doing well. We are so thankful for that.


Hawkley and London also came to see their Cox cousins. Here they are all enjoying some fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Notice the donuts on the counter.

When "one" is outnumbered (that would be me) food that is kid friendly and easily accessible is priority #1.

Happy kids + kids with a full stomach = one happy Aunt Edee.


Of course, sleeping in the "big room" is a must. Six kids sleeping on floor mats, rolling and pushing each other off the mats and stealing covers from each other makes for a lot of talk in the morning of how it was the "worst night of their lives".

However, when the cousins get together at our house, they all INSIST on these sleeping arrangements. It must not be too bad. :)


Swinging in your pajamas isn't too bad either.

On Wednesday, the kids didn't even bother to get dressed. Fine by me. That night they just got in the tub and changed into a clean pair of pajamas ready for another night of sleeping. Oh, the life of a kid!
